DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Door County Baseball League season will open with shortages in the umpire pool again.  Umpire-in-Chief for the DCBL\, Roger Van Lanen\, urges anyone interested in becoming a baseball umpire to document their experience or seek certification through the WIAA or to be considered.  Candidates will take the WIAA test and be required to have a background check. DESCRIPTION:Center for Childhood Safety is offering Safe Sitter®\, a comprehensive life and safety training program designed for youth ages 10 and older. The program equips students with the skills needed to prevent injuries and respond confidently to emergencies while home alone\, caring for younger siblings\, or babysitting. students will spend the day learning hands-on safety skills\, practicing real-life scenarios\, and building confidence. It’s a great way to turn a day of spring break into skills that last a lifetime.  2026 Class Schedule (All classes 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.): \n• April 2 \n• June 1 \nStudents who graduate from a Safe Sitter® course receive a completion card that demonstrates they know how to use their skills in situations they encounter.
